Divine Whisper That Transformed Everything
Nov 06, 2025

This is the iconic “Prince of Peace” painting by child prodigy artist Akiane Kramarik, created when she was just 8 years old, based on visions she claimed to have received of Jesus Christ.
A Divine Appointment at 10:31 PM
Something happened last night that I can’t fully explain, but I know I need to share it with you.
It was 10:31 PM. I had just finished watching Heaven is for Real—the story of little Colton Burpo, who went to heaven, met Jesus, and came back with details no four-year-old could know. I’ve seen this movie before, years ago, but last night was different. Last night, God showed up in a way that left me breathless.
There’s a scene in the movie that has always been my favorite. Colton’s father, Todd, is watching a video about a young artist named Akiane Kramarik who painted a portrait of Jesus called “Prince of Peace.” As Todd watches, little Colton walks over to the screen, looks at the painting, and says with absolute certainty: “That’s him, Daddy. That’s Jesus.”
In that moment—10:31 PM on my couch—the Holy Spirit moved through me with such power that I couldn’t ignore it. As I looked into the Eyes of Jesus, I started to weep. It wasn’t just emotion. It wasn’t nostalgia from rewatching a touching movie. It was confirmation. Divine confirmation that I needed to write about this. I needed to share about the Prince of Peace.
So here I am, obedient to that prompting, because when God speaks, we respond.
The Power of Recognition
What struck me most about that scene wasn’t just Colton’s certainty—it was his recognition. He didn’t need theological training. He didn’t need to compare religious artwork or debate artistic interpretations. He knew.
That’s what happens when you’ve truly encountered Jesus. You recognize Him. Not through religion, ritual, or tradition—but through relationship.
Colton had been to heaven. He had seen Jesus face to face. So when he saw Akiane’s painting—a painting created by another child who also claimed to have seen Jesus in visions—he didn’t hesitate. “That’s him.”
How many of us have encountered Jesus so intimately that we would recognize Him anywhere? In the middle of our storms? In the chaos of our families? In the mirror, when we’re at our lowest?
The Prince of Peace doesn’t just visit us in church services or quiet devotionals. He meets us in hospital rooms, broken marriages, financial crises, and generational dysfunction. And when He does, we know it’s Him.
Who Is the Prince of Peace?
The title “Prince of Peace” comes from Isaiah 9:6, one of the most beautiful prophecies about the coming Messiah:
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
This isn’t just a poetic name. It’s a promise. It’s a declaration of what Jesus brings into every area of our lives:
- Peace in our storms – When the waves are crashing and we’re sinking, He speaks: “Peace, be still.”
- Peace in our marriages – When communication breaks down and hope feels lost, He rebuilds what was broken.
- Peace in our families – When generational curses threaten to repeat, He breaks the chains and establishes new legacies.
- Peace in our minds – When anxiety, depression, and trauma scream louder than truth, He whispers: “I am with you.”
The Prince of Peace doesn’t eliminate our battles. He fights them with us. He doesn’t remove the chaos. He brings order to it. He doesn’t promise we’ll never struggle. He promises we’ll never struggle alone.
My Encounter with the Prince of Peace
I know what it’s like to live without peace.
I’ve battled PTSD from my military service. I’ve wrestled with bipolar disorder. I’ve watched my marriage teeter on the edge of collapse. I’ve seen generational patterns of anger, impatience, and dysfunction threaten to destroy my family.
But I also know what it’s like to encounter the Prince of Peace in the middle of the storm.
He met me at the gym when I was ready to give up. He spoke to me through strangers who became divine appointments. He softened my heart with the supernatural gift of tears. He gave me prophetic words that became anchors when everything else was shaking.
And slowly—painfully, beautifully slowly—He began to restore what the enemy had stolen.
My marriage? Still a work in progress, but we’re fighting for it together now, with Jesus at the center.
My children? Learning to break the cycles I once modeled, because I’m learning to model something new.
My calling? Clearer than ever—to bring the Prince of Peace to millions who are drowning in chaos, just like I was.
The Prince of Peace didn’t fix everything overnight. But He gave me something more valuable than instant solutions: His presence. And in His presence, there is fullness of joy. There is strength for the journey. There is hope for the future.
The Painting That Sparked a Confirmation
Akiane Kramarik was eight years old when she painted “Prince of Peace.” She claimed to have seen Jesus in visions and was compelled to paint what she saw. The result was a portrait that has moved millions—including little Colton Burpo, who recognized Jesus in that painting.
What’s remarkable isn’t just the artistic skill of a child prodigy. It’s the authenticity of the encounter. Akiane didn’t paint religious tradition. She painted a relationship. She painted what she saw.
And that’s what the world is hungry for.
People are tired of religious imagery that doesn’t touch their reality. They’re tired of sermons that don’t speak to their pain. They’re tired of a Jesus who feels distant, detached, and disinterested.
They need the Prince of Peace—the One who steps into their mess, sits with them in their suffering, and says, “I’m here. And I’m not leaving.”
An Invitation to Encounter
If you’re reading this and you’ve never truly encountered the Prince of Peace, I want to invite you to do so right now.
Not through religion. Not through ritual. But through surrender.
Tell Him about the storm you’re in. The marriage that’s falling apart. The generational curse you can’t seem to break. The anxiety that won’t let you sleep. The emptiness that success can’t fill.
He already knows. But He’s waiting for you to invite Him in.
And when you do—when you truly encounter the Prince of Peace—you’ll recognize Him. Not because someone told you what He looks like. But because your spirit will know.
Just like Colton knew.
Just like I knew at 10:31 PM last night.
The Prince of Peace Is Moving
I don’t know why God chose that moment to confirm this message. I don’t know why He used a movie I’ve seen before to speak something fresh into my spirit.
But I do know this: The Prince of Peace is at work.
He’s moving in families. He’s moving into marriages. He’s moving in the hearts of broken warriors who thought their best days were behind them.
And He’s inviting you to join the movement.
Not as a spectator. Not as someone who watches from a distance. But as someone who has encountered Him, recognized Him, and can’t help but tell others:
“That’s Him. That’s Jesus. The Prince of Peace.”
Your Turn
Have you encountered the Prince of Peace in your life? What storms has He brought peace to? What chaos has He reordered?
I’d love to hear your story. Drop a comment below or reach out—I believe our testimonies are powerful weapons in the hands of a faithful God.
And if you’re in the middle of a storm right now and you need someone to stand with you in prayer, let me know. I’m here. And more importantly, He’s here.
The Prince of Peace never leaves. He never forsakes. And He never stops fighting for you.
